Cruise

Ling and I decided to try a different type of vacation so we booked a cruise. We took a seven day cruise to Progresso, Cozumel, and Belize. We got a great deal on the trip and left from Galveston (about 1 hour 15 mins from my house). We had a wonderful time and definatly enjoyed ourselves. However, there were good points and bad points. I don't think that I would reccomend a 7 day cruise to two single young women who are used to traveling. There just wasn't enough going on for us to remain entertained the entire time. We are pretty damn good company to each other but we needed a little bit more. We both enjoy getting some light sun, but neither of us wants to bake ourselves for hours on a deck. During the days at sea, there wasnt much else for us to do beside eat and lay out. The pools had lots of kids in there so we kept our distance to have some relaxation. On some positive notes, the food was excellent and theres plenty of food all the time. We ate steak, lobster, and anything else we could have wanted. Also, the staff were extremely friendly and attentive. They were wonderful from the start of the cruise to the finish. Lastly, you get room service, someone makes your bed as many times as you can mess it up and they put chocolates on your bed every night. (Just don't fall asleep and let those chocolates melt all in your bed- thats some good advice I recieved before my trip. *Wink Wink*)
